We have had and continue to have an extremely difficult time following the tragic loss of our nineteen-year-old son, Matt. He was killed in an automobile accident in August of 2009. We knew Matt would not want to be placed for his final rest in a cold, impersonal cemetery. It was our desire to place him on our family farm. Matt was supposed to inherit the farm that has been in our family for more than 150 years. We were not granted permission to bury Matt on our own land but we were told we could have a private mausoleum placed there. We had no knowledge of mausoleums or how to go about purchasing one. We "Googled" mausoleums and our attention was directed to the second listing that came up in the search results. It was Fortress Mausoleums. We now know God was playing an important role in that selection. Don was very respectful of our situation and assured us he could provide a product that would make us proud and one that would honor our son, Matt.

The company immediately got started and within just a couple of hours we were sent an e-mail with a picture attached of the mausoleum. It was simply beautiful. We are located in southeast Indiana and did not order this product until about 4:30 in the afternoon. By noon the next day it had arrived from southern Mississippi. At first sight the mausoleum brought tears to our eyes. We knew Matt was going to be safe and secure in this product.

The men who delivered and set the mausoleum were very respectful of our situation. They worked very diligently and placed it where we desired. They even took time out to say a wonderful prayer for us. They were a true blessing.

We have now built a garden around the mausoleum and we have found it to be a place of peace and comfort. Each stone laid, each flower and plant that has been put into the ground has been set with tears that have yet to dry. We miss our son desperately. He was our first-born child and our only son. His loss has left a hole in our lives that will never be filled. We are so grateful to Fortress Mausoleums for their product, their respect, and their support and love.

In late October of 2005, we lost our precious 18-year-old son, Stephen, in an automobile accident.  Stephen was special--a National Honor Society member, a state-champion wrestler, and a mentor to inner-city kids.  We knew Stephen's spirit was in heaven, but Stephen had given us such joy that we wanted to place his body in an environment that would honor his incredibly positive life.  At the time, we had no plan for where our family would be buried.  The owner of the cemetery where we were considering burying Stephen recommended that we consider a nine-space Fortress Personal Mausoleum which would provide a burial plan for our entire family.  I had never seen the nine-space mausoleum that we ended up buying--I had only seen a two-place mausoleum manufactured by Fortress.  But the quality and workmanship were evident.  The owner of Fortress Personal Mausoleums, Don Magallanes, was very responsive, making arrangements for immediate delivery of the nine-space mausoleum in time for placement at the cemetery and our son's burial.  We were so pleased with the quality of the mausoleum, and with permission from the cemetery, we decided to completely landscape the entire setting.  Later on, Mr. Magallanes provided us with a cross for the top of the mausoleum that perfectly matched the granite and aggregate finish of the mausoleum.  I highly recommend the products and staff of Fortress Personal Mausoleums.

I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START....."THANK YOU" IS A BEGINNING; HOWEVER IT DOES NOT AT ALL BEGIN TO EXPRESS HOW GRATEFUL I AM TO YOU AND GRATEFUL THAT YOU HAVE HELPED ME THROUGH ONE OF THE WORST TRAGEDIES I HAVE EVER BEEN THROUGH...

WITHOUT YOU, DON, AND YOUR KINDNESS AND YOUR GENEROSITY TO ME...TO A STRANGER...I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE, OR WHERE I WOULD BE NOW.

I COULD NEVER HAVE RESTED WITHOUT THAT CRYPT. LUCKY WAS AFRAID OF WATER. I COULD HAVE NEVER SLEPT WITH HIM IN THE GROUND AND I SURELY WASN'T GONNA BURN HIM. KNOWING THAT HE IS RESTING NOW IN HIS FINAL RESTING PLACE; A DRY, SAFE PLACE....A TOMB FOR THE MOST SPECIAL SOUL ...LUCKY DESERVED TO BE LAID TO REST WITH RESPECT AND HONOR. DON, YOU PROVIDED THAT FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.
